TENNIS
Breton Bay Golf and Country Club supports four hardcourt tennis courts, two of which have lights. The courts are located next to the pool and they are surrounded by Wind screens and trees that provide optimum wind protection. The courts are for use by members and their guests only ($5 guest fee).Guest must be accompanied by a member and the guest fee is the responsibility of the member. Courts are available on first come/first serve basis. Please limit playing time to 1.0 hours when others are waiting.
Russ Carrington is the Director of Tennis operations and Tennis Instructor. Russ provides individual lessons, group lessons, and clinics year round. He works with adult players of all levels, and youth players of all ages and levels. Other instructors are also available on a limited basis and upon request.

About our Tennis Program:
Lessons
and Clinics
- $30 an hour for an individual lesson.
- The cost is $10 - $15 for group lessons and clinics, depending on the number of participants.
- Lessons are also available for nonmembers, space permitting. There is an additional $5 guest fee.

Breton Bay Open
- The Breton Bay Open Adult Tennis Tournament is held annually over Memorial Day weekend. Open and B Divisions in all singles and doubles categories.
- Play begins on Saturday, and concludes on Monday. Due to the possibility of weather issues, participants must be available all three days. Most of the doubles events begin on Sunday, but preliminary doubles rounds might begin late Saturday afternoon if necessary.
- Registrations are always due the Wednesday before the tournament, at 10:00 PM. They may be mailed or emailed to Russ Carrington. No entries are accepted after the draws have been made.

- The Youth Levels Tournament is always held either the last weekend in July or the first weekend in August (Saturday and Sunday).
- Singles and doubles events. Players compete against players of the same level, and are guaranteed at least two matches in each event.
- Due to the possibility of weather issues, participants must be available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM both days.
- Registrations are always due the Wednesday before the tournament, at 10:00 PM. They may be mailed or emailed to Russ Carrington. No entries are accepted after the draws have been made.

- Adult Team Challenges are free for adult members of the club, plus invited nonmembers (with $5 guest fee).
- A Team Challenge is normally held on July 4 (Redcoats vs. Bluecoats), Labor Day (Workaholics vs. Coach Potatoes) and Columbus Day (Landlubbers vs. Explorers).
- Participants compete for their teams against players of similar ability, so the matches are always competitive and fun.
- To register, you must contact Russ Carrington no later than 6:00 PM the day before the event.
